Items and lessons tagged Free can be practiced and graded without an account. Pro items show their scenario to everyone, but checking answers requires Pro or Lifetime Learning. The tag is shown before you start.

Yes, on the device and browser you used. Your answers are graded and stored on our server under an anonymous token kept in your browser. Create a free account to keep progress across devices; your guest progress moves over automatically after you confirm your email and sign in.

Balanced is necessary but not sufficient. The grader also checks the accounts used, which side each is on, the exact amounts, and the date. The feedback points to the line that's wrong without giving away the full answer.

No, unless the task explicitly states a rounding allowance. Bookkeeping is exact; exercises state any rounding rule they use.

Hints start with the smallest useful clue. Using a hint or revealing the solution doesn't stop you from solving the item, but mastery requires solving it without help on the first attempt or on a later day.

The study streak counts consecutive days, in your account's timezone, with at least one correct answer. The correct-answer streak counts correct submissions in a row. They're shown separately on the dashboard.

After you solve an item, it returns for review after 1 day, then 3, 7, 14, 30 and 60 days as long as you keep getting it right. A wrong answer resets it to 1 day.

At midnight UTC. Everyone gets the same three items that day.

Go to Account → Billing and choose “Manage billing”. You can cancel there; access continues until the end of the paid period.

Perpetual access to the self-study lessons, simulators, projects, quizzes, interview prep, downloads, and eligible certificates as described in the terms. It does not include the AI tutor, which is a separate monthly add-on.

Pro and the Lifetime AI add-on include up to 100 tutor requests per calendar month (UTC). Unused requests don't roll over. Failed requests caused by our systems aren't counted.

Complete the required lessons and pass the unassisted Bookkeeping Fundamentals final assessment with at least 80%. Certificates are issued only after our server confirms both. They are certificates of completion, not professional credentials.

Each certificate has an unguessable verification link. Public verification is off by default; you can turn it on for a certificate in your Certificates page.

Use “Forgot your password?” on the login page. The reset link expires after 30 minutes and works once.

Check spam, then try logging in — we'll send a fresh link if your email isn't confirmed yet. Links expire after 1 hour.

Go to Account → Privacy & data. You can download your data as JSON or CSV, reset course progress, or delete your account.

No. The simulators are teaching tools, not accounting software. Never enter real client, customer, or employer financial records.

Lessons teach introductory US-style accrual bookkeeping in US dollars. Payroll and sales tax lessons use fictional, stated rates. Real tax rules vary; check official guidance or a qualified professional.
